چکیده

In transmission electron micrography of few-layer thick graphene samples, two distinct regions, a region of superlattice and an adjacent region of parallel straight bands, are seen. These two features are explained as Moire patterns produced by (1) rotation of top part of one of the graphene layers and (2) a small change in the shape of the bottom part of the same layer. It is interesting to note that for the first time, Moire pattern of parallel straight bands is observed and satisfactorily explained. VC 2011 American Institute of Physics. [doi:10.1063/1.3624703]

Conduction coefficient modeling in bilayer graphene based on schottky transistors

Nowadays carbon nanoparticles are applied on the island of single electron transistor and Nano-transistors. The basis of single electron devices (SEDs) is controllable single electron transfer between small conducting islands. Based on the important points in quantum mechanics, when a wave passes through several spatial regions with different boundaries, the wave function of the first region di...

A Novel Method for Considering Interlayer Effects between Graphene Nanoribbons and Elastic Medium in Free Vibration Analysis

A complete investigation on the free vibration of bilayer graphene nanoribbons (BLGNRs) mod-eled as sandwich beams taking into account tensile-compressive and shear effects of van der Waals (vdWs) interactions between adjacent graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) as well as between GNRs and polymer matrix is performed in this research. In this modeling, nanoribbon layers play role of sandwich beam layer...

Nonlocal Bending Analysis of Bilayer Annular/Circular Nano Plates Based on First Order Shear Deformation Theory

In this paper, nonlinear bending analysis of bilayer orthotropic annular/circular graphene sheets is studied based on the nonlocal elasticity theory. The equilibrium equations are derived in terms of generalized displacements and rotations considering the first-order Shear deformation theory (FSDT). The nonlinear governing equations are solved using the differential quadrature method (DQM) whic...

Graphene on Ru(0001) Moiré Corrugation Studied by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy on Au/Graphene/Ru(0001) Heterostructures

Two-dimensional Au islands of different thicknesses grown on graphene/Ru(0001) were used to study the corrugation of the moire ́ structure of graphene/Ru(0001) and discriminate between its mainly structural or electronic character. A comparison of the apparent corrugation measured by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) for different Au thicknesses with results of elasticity theory equations appl...

Nucleation and growth of nickel nanoclusters on graphene Moire on Rh(111)

Regularly sized Ni nanoclusters (NCs) have been grown on a graphene Moire on Rh(J 11) . Using scanning tunneling microscopy, we determine that initial growth of Ni at 150 K leads to preferential nucleation of monodispersed NCs at specific sites of the Moire superstructure. However, a defined long-range ordering of NCs with increasing coverage is not observed. Room temperature Ni depos ition lea...
